I competed a couple of times in the States. Most memorable was an event held at a monastery and the Abbot had to come down to the customs to clear us into the states. The border folks were really wary of all our weapons. They, of course, were armed with guns but I guess they though Canada would invade by sword (with rubber tips, mind: sure helped my respect of the US, you guys are helping restore it.)
