in the beginning of July, I had the honor of attending the CivPol Alumni association conference in Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas. The weekend delt with several issues pertaining to the readjustment of contractors after serving in overseas missions. I wore my olive UK on the plane, and for the first time in my life, a stewardess hit on me. Quite flattering. On Friday evening, I wore my UK, on Saturday I wore slacks for the PTSD classes and Terrorisim awareness, but on Saturday evening I wore my Operation Iraqi Freedom Tartan to the memorial service of fallen officers and staff. On Sunday, I wore my digital Marine Corps kilt by Jeff at Pittsburge Kilt. After the closing ceremonies on Sunday, I met up with a Marine Corps buddy I have not seen in over 15 years. I wore my OIF tartan out to dinner and on the plane back to Virginia. Although, on the way home, I had several nice comments, none of the ladies sat next to me and batted their eyes.
