Something didn't look right about the assemblage but I realized what it was. I thought it was the buttons but it was the photo itself. Usually your pics are more artistic and taken outside. The pottery on the bookcase extends your shoulder line and the shadow from the flash gives you a different shape.
Once I make myself see past that, it's quite a nice suit.
Yes, I am sorry about the lack of artistry! The trouble is that we are having the wettest summer on record and I have just not been able to take photos outside in the garden. My sitting room is not the largest in floor area (but it is proportionally balanced!). Also I must admit that I am putting on weight with alarming speed and, as a result, my body shape has changed. It is due to medication and there is little I can do about it!!

But it looks so.....well,...."English"....maybe that's because I just watched the movie King Ralph with Peter O'Toole in a similar suit...with trousers of course.
Certainly perfect for the occasion though.
Ron
Hi Ron. I assume that by "English" you really mean 'British'? Yes, our male stereotype is probably depicted wearing a pinstripe trouser suit, bowler hat (right Jamie - but NOT with the kilt!), polished black shoes and carrying a briefcase but, in reality, you seldom see the bowler hat being worn nowadays, not even by business executives in the 'City' of London. The rest of the outfit is still pretty much the 'uniform' though, and I certainly wore it for most of my working life. Having said that, things are slightly more relaxed now than they were a few years ago, although suits are still commonplace - especially in our cities.
Over here, male wedding guests tend to dress up in their best suits on the big day unless they are kilted. The actual wedding party (Groom, Best Man/men, Fathers and Ushers) usually wear formal Morning Suits, again unless they are kilted. At Howie's wedding, I'd estimate that 98% of the men were kilted - most of them in kilt suits rather than tartan - but that is mainly due to the nature of Howie's business!

That "suit" is Great Ham!
One of these days I'd like to try making one like that. Though my wife has tried to convince me that I don't want to try making a jacket..
Glad it was a great occasion!
