I had the strangest dream last night!

Last night I had the worst head ache and was pretty nauseas and It kept me up until about 3:00. When I finally did get to sleep a had a rather interesting dream. From what I remember it started off by Hamish moving into the house next to mine and it some how ended with a large group off people from xmarks dressing up in these ultikilts with this overall bib type thing and they were made out of thick black plastic, then ever one went out and mud wrestled with bears.

    Josh,

If the pain was on one side of your head and almost so painful you could n't think you may have suffered from a migraine. Another sign is your vision "fuzzing up" before the pain started. You should think about seeing your doctor as there are some good medications available nowdays.

I have suffered from migraines since I was a teenager and when IMTREX became available in pills it seemed like a miracle.

    Cheers

I've had them all my life too. I've been taking something called MAXALT. It works pretty good. You let it dissolve in your mouth.
And, the only kind of dreams I have while trying to sleep with a migraine have to do with pain.

That would be the wrestling with bears part.

you might want to do some research into triggers for your headaches. I get migraines that are triggered by raw red onions. Once I found that out I was able to reduce the number of migraines I got per year significantly. That and IMITREX that is.

I used to suffer bad migraines when I was young, would have to stay off work and lay in a darkened room and had terrible nausea. Cheese and chocolate were the main triggers. As I grew older the migraines became much less severe and now I can carry on much as normal. When I do go have a migraine my dreams tend to be more vivid, possibly due to the pain preventing better quality sleep.

Wow, this thread brings back not so happy memories. I had migraines from age 10 to age 17. I always thought they stopped due to my getting the H*%$ out of my parent's house but over the last 25 years I learned better. I never learned anything about any particular triggers and no meds ever helped very well.

I'm glad for you that something works. When that headache comes on then life is hell.

Good for you finding something that works!

A couple of chopped Feverfew (Chrysanthemum) leaves make a good mitigator of migraine symptoms. They do however taste so disgusting they are simply impalatable and are best sprinkled on a beverage and swallowed with it.
