TattBrad perhaps you are not attuned with modern technology but there are these things called earbuds that one inserts in to ones's ear canal or use with a cell phone. Might I sugest that you get out of your lab once in a while to see the modern marvels of hands free communication. Ask for Blueberry or Blacktooth.

Funny enough, I'm actually a pretty avid "bluetoother." This reminded me of kind of funny tale. A few weeks back the wife and I were in the SLC area for a wedding. I had really been wanting a new Jabra headset. So, while she plowed through store after store of seeming the same shoes, I hit up the electronics shops and booths. I happened upon one with just the unit I was looking for. But, the salesman kept insisting that I buy this unit (don't recall the model number) that featured a boom and wrapped around the back of the ear and under the lobe. One look at it and I quickly dismissed saying "there's no way that will clear the underside of ear, what with this 1.5" extended earlobe." "Oh, yeah I suppose you're right..." So, I looked at the other smaller units a while and a couple of more times he pointed back to the under-ear unit "this really is the best one we have." "Okay, I'll show you what I'm talking about. Hand it here." He took a display model and handed it over. Just as I already knew, it would not clear my ear lobe. I gave him the "you're an idiot" look and handed it back. Darned pushy salesmen. Only way it could have POSSIBLY worked would be to remove my plug and run the boom through the hole.
