My first is a 8 yrd Tank in a McDuff Tartan made by Celtic Craft Centre. I've already got the next 3 planned, now just have to save up for them.

My first was an inexpensive polyviscose Heritage of Scotland tartan, probably made in Pakistan, that I got at the Stone Mountain games one year. It's not the best, but for some reason it feels comfortable to wear. I suppose that it's that I wouldn't mind getting it messed up.

My first kilt was a Black Watch tank that I rented to wear on the formal night on the cruise. I now have 4 kilts with another on the way...

The first kilt I ever ordered was a SportKilt. I had just had surgery on my leg and the cast was so huge that I couldn't fit into pants. I needed something that I could wear without reverting to "stripper's pants" - sweats that buttoned or velcroed up the side. And I needed it fast since I couldn't exactly just hang around in my underwear. That SportKilt answered the call of duty fine.

Since then, well, let's just say that I spend way too much money on tanks.
