I've had issues with DHL for some time, after I got some tattoo machines imported. It's been my experience that they fill out customs forms to reflect their profit margin, pay the customs charges themselves, then slug you the fees plus interest & account fees. Then delivery seems to be contracted out anyway. I've got to the point where I wont buy anything if they are the courier. Unfortunately, they seem to be working their way to a monopoly

I refuse to buy anything if DHL is the sole shipping method.... USPS/Canada Post/Royal Post or not at all.

We now have 4 shipments coming in
1 dhl-has been in Ny with DHL for a week
2. Fedex- spent about 8 hours in custom and has cleared
3. USPS-??? have no idea where it is (has USMC and Navy Swords)
4. UPS - left yesterday
I think we have shipments now covering the whole range of shipping options
BUT over all DHL hold products the longest

The shipment is now in canton Ohio - 11 days to clear customs via DHL
The other order from a different vendor shipped fedex cleared in under a few hours
This has happened ever time the weaver has used DHL
UPS shipment also set in customs under 3 hours..
I think today we will have three trucks pull up at the same time....DHL, FEDEX, UPS...I am not sure on the Swords since they are in USPS and we can not track them.
We may have to have a "shipping party"---or for the Canadians a boxing day
