    Also notice that there are two vests. The under vest is attached to the top of the kilt. So the kilt is not fastened on its own, just held closed with two buttons. Almost like really long, pleated tails on the vest.

    I think one of our Canadian brothers should grab this and then donate it to Matt and the museum.

    It used to not be uncommon for children's kilts to be made with attached vest like we see here in this auction item. The measurements on this certainly incidate that it could have been made for an older child (or a very small man). The sporran also looks child-sized.
