Average sporran size?

Ahh Warwick,

Its my pet peeve! For the life of me I can't understand why so many vendors, even sporran manufacturers don't list the size of their product. Something critical to the buyer. They could at least post photos of their wares alongside a ruler or standard size object.

What's to hide??

I've taken to custom ordering sporrans to the size I need. When I do order a standard size sporran I have to email first to get the size. I'm often amazed at how this confuses the very people who make or market sporrans.

I refuse to "baaaa" like a sheep. I'm entitled to make an informed decision.

And a special thank you to the vendors and sporran manufacturers who are leading the way and posting the size of their product.

riverkilt i agree a picture of the front, a picture of the back and a picture with a ruler would help me make a decision

I spent the last two days looking at all of the sporrans at the Pacific Northwest Games, and they all seem to be the same shape and size. I'm a pretty big guy (6'-3" and 235 lb) and the "average" sporran looks too small on me (thanks to an X Marks-er for pointing that out), so I've taken to making my own.
