I think there is a strong sense of prudishness than runs deep in the US. Like it or not, it is part of our culture. Some feel it is simple modesty, others feel it represents shame of our bodies.

In most of the US, showing one's bare buttocks without covering the gluteal cleft is unlawful. In some cities, you only need a one inch wide covering of the cleft to be street legal, in others, the entire buttocks must be covered.

To look on the bright side, Poland is reportedly more prudish than we are, given the new kilt-related laws there. I also remember being in Haiti in the 1980s and hearing about the locals chasing women who were only wearing bathing suits or shorts out of the streets. They believed that women were to be well covered and in dresses only, thank you very much.

So, we could be worse. Or better, depending on your point of view.

Well, Old Scot or no, Folks really can't go about mooning the public at a family event. I doubt that the old boy will do any hard time over it L & L here is only a Class III misd. Hi had a moment of being a nincompoop and he must pay his nincomtax. Heck if he asks, I'll pay his fine.

What is the saying? There's no fool like an old fool. As David says at his age he should have known better.

They show naked butts on network TV (even Dennis Franz) .

I was mostly terrified by the officer's comment "We have a complaint, somebody is offended". THAT SCARES ME!!!

Offended? I did not know I had a right not to be offended. Now with a horse's **** like me that could pose some real problems. It wasn't lewd, the person who made the complaint was by calling it lewd behavior.

    very sad.

P.S. from what I saw, he didn't moon anybody. Question about celtic attire asked at celtic event - question answered in a manner that even the hearing impaired could understand. (I should be an attorney)
