Kilts in hot weather

Welcome from the South of England where it has also been fairly hot today.

I'm wearing a low rise PV kilt and finding it very comfortable. There is just enough breeze around to keep me cool and well ventilated.

I have tried a 5yd wool kilt in similar circumstances and found it surprisingly cool but I prefer to use the PV in really hot weather. Today we had a picnic on the grass and that is a lot easier in a PV because I can stick it in the washer at home if it gets any stains etc.

Welcome from Eastern Washington State. Hot or cold (or anything in between) wool is the best, most adaptable choice.

Not that I actually own a wool kilt for comparison, but... PV kilts are nice and comfy in the heat but once it gets hot enough, it don't matter if you are naked, it's still HOT.
