    Non-traditional with pockets?
    Freedom Kilts (mentioned above), RKilts (I wore my hemp RKilt in -10C last winter, not including wind chill), make your own (lined?) Xkilt ...

    I would recommend against Utilikilts - winter winds whip right under that half apron to places you don't want wind chill.
