* P L O P * {big cloud of dust} ¡¡ sneeze !! {push bifocal glasses back up nose}
From Webster’s Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary, based on Webster’s Third New International Dictionary © 1969
* flip * flip * flip * {push bifocal glasses back up nose} Ahhh, yes! Here it is...
pə-'näsh – 1: an ornamental tuft (as of feathers) esp. on a helmet 2: dash or flamboyance in style and action : verve
(ä pronounced as in "cot") The Middle French word seems to have entered English usage from Late Latin, where it meant a small wing, via Old Italian.
Verve is another French word, denoting fantasy, caprice, and animation. Its usual English meaning is : the spirit and enthusiasm animating artistic composition or performance.
It seems as if Jamie's self-chosen handle (username) fits his public persona extremely well and, may I add, his private one also.

That's an excellent idea. Much more sensible than flying around the arctic bumping into glaciers. Just fly to Glasgow to shop then pick up Arlen and head to Dumfries for a kilt night. Brill!!
