Kilted archery
Last night I went over to some friends' house for an evening of poking holes in targets. (They've got a small target range in their backyard.) I was hoping to try out my new eBay bow, but it hasn't arrived yet, curse it.
The first time we did this it was unplanned and I happened to be kilted. Since then, it has become a tradition for me, so I was wearing my SWK Economy Gordon, which was quite comfortable, despite the 99 degree heat.

It was a lot of fun, and I was happy to see that I've improved to the point where I can at least hit close to the card I'm aiming at.

Looking like you may have the high hand in that poker shoot with an Ace of Archers high straight!. haha!!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

It certainly makes me happy to see folks enjoying themselves with real bows (rather than those mechanical arrow-flinging gizmos!).
I wore my digital camo X-Kilt to the Carolina Traditional Archery Championships this year. Got lots of positive comments, one friend twisted my arm until I promised to make him one, but (unfortunately) no pictures.
You guys look like you're having a great time, but that comes with the territory when you go afield with a stick and string! Bravo!

Yeah, we all prefer traditional, although there are differences even in our small group ... the lady in the orange shirt marshals archery for the local SCA chapter and uses an Osage Orange longbow and wooden arrows she makes herself. She sneers at my fiberglass recurve and carbon-fiber arrows. (She doesn't actually sneer; but she is more traditional than the rest of us.)
I'm also enjoying having another outlet for leatherwork, so I made a tab and am working on an arm guard.
