Know that ordering kilts on line involves this learning process for each kiltmaker. Once you know what they mean by their various sizes then you're set to order more, better fitting kilts.

Yes, I'm still on the steep part of the learning curve.

You may have already considered this but would hate for you to alter a kilt, then post a pic and have everyone say it's too short or you're wearing it too low
That's why I posted pics of myself in my own SWK before doing anything. I thought it was too long. Everyone here says not.

    Dang, SWK is quick...

    My replacement kilt has arrived!
Was waiting for me, when we returned from a 'cycle ride.

Tried it on... fits MUCH better. With top of waistband at top of my navel, It falls mid-knee.
My wife is almost as anxious to see me in it as I was to receive it. (got to love a woman like that).

Hopefully can corral my daughter, tomorrow, to take a few pix, and will post. Am interested in some honest critique.

Thanks, all, for your great input!

...and so, another member of society has succumbed to kilt addiction...

Big congratulations. I hope you enjoy being kilted.
    P.S.
That excitement never goes away. It only gets worse with each new kilt.

    critique invited..

Ok, my daughter wasn't available to take photo (an 18 year old who'd rather hang out with her friends... go figure).
My wife, who acknowledges her lack of photo-prowess, took this pix:
    (sorry, it's a bit dark & "soft-focus")

    Any advice/suggestions/comments welcome.
