    Mother Goose and Grimm

I don't think I can post a direct link to today's Mother Goose and Grimm comic strip so I will do the following but we'll see what happens.

If you're quick and can get to the web site before the end of day today (whenever that would be) then go here: http://www.grimmy.com/comics.php .

If that doesn't work then go to the comic archives at: http://www.grimmy.com/archives.php?archive=MGG and then choose today's date (08/14/07) in the window at upper right.

    Enjoy!

I was hesitant to do that because of possible copyright violations...

One of my standard, now very old and boring jokes, when asked where I want to go to eat, is to say - "Let's go to the Scottish Resturant." Those who haven't heard the jokle before (no many now-a-days) scoff and say - "There are no Scottish Resturants!"

I then respond - "Sure, MacDonalds....."

My group of friends often refers to it as "the golden arches supper club."

The chain actually started with a couple of drive-ins owned by the McDonald brothers in LA, before Ray Krok (sp?) bought them out.

In the movie "Time After Time", H.G. Wells (played by Malcolm McDowell) tells someone he has eaten at "That Scottish Place", of course referring to McDonalds.

I was immediately thinking of "Time after Time" as well....One of my favorites.... and that's one of the funniest scenes in the movie, just the expressions alone.
