Congratulations!
Good to see another GU grad proudly sporting that beautiful tartan - a strong favourite in my family. And it was great to be reminded of my Alma Mater too. Thank you.

Alex, great kilt. The pic of Prof Square brings back memories. I had a visiting fellowship there 1994-5. Perhaps I should have Glasgow U kilt!

I've admired this tartan since I was aware of it. Especially since my Great Grandfather was a graduate of the University of Glasgow.

Hey Alex,
How cool is that to wear your university tartan!!?? Knowing you earned it has to be the source of your smiles.
Jealous...my university Ottawa (Kansas) University (Phoenix, AZ campus) doesn't have a tartan. The school colors are yellow and black...maybe I'll just adopt my Loud MacLeod.
Oregon State University (where I swilled a LOT of beer in my youth) just came up with a university tartan in Orange and Black...a bit more orange than my taste can swallow. So I've passed on that.
You are soooo lucky to have a university tartan, from a most prestigious university, where you earned a degree. That's gotta put a little extra swish in those pleats.
