Lots of interest! Few people in Iceland have ever seen bagpipes. Years ago, before I started piping, we were camped in central Iceland, and my daughter had her pipes out and was practicing. A woman came running across the field, and we thought that she was irritated (as commonly happens) that the pipes were disturbing people. It turns out that she was a music major and had read about bagpipes but never seen a set. She had Carolyn take them all apart and show her how they worked.
I can also report that Icelandic horses really like bagpipes. If you play anywhere near a field of them, they all rush over to the fence and lean as far over as they can to hear them. Don't know why, but they do!

So you don't just make kilts. I'm impressed.

So, being a Professor, kilt maker and piper, when do you find time for the little things, like sleeping?
Nive pictures!

Ummm, well, I'm not much of a housekeeper. Somehow sleeping seems more important.....!

Great pic. I wish I looked as "terminator" cool as you do in those shades.

Hmmmm....I have two dogs. One of them, otherwise not given to idiosyncrasies, comes running when I play the chanter but starts barking at me. I don't think it's a positive experience for him.
