Not yet!
Not yet, I drive by there on the way to work, and They don't look ready to open yet. They still have a temp "coming soon, now hiring" sign up over the old Mexican resturant sign.
They have some landscaping in, but otherwise the outside of the building is not finished. I don't know what it is gonna end up looking like, but it still looks like a disused Tex-Mex place. I'm sure the almost 2 months of rain we've had lately has impacted their schedule. I have not stopped by and actually looked into the windows yet, but maybe they are ready inside.
According to their website, now the opening will be "early September"

Don't worry, I'll keep y'all informed!

still waiting!
well, the outside of the place is coming along, but I guess the crappy weather is slowing them up with painting etc, I still have not stopped to peek in the windows though!
I sent a friendly email asking how things are going with the opening dates, and expressing our interest in being part of any events etc... I invited them to join our forum here. I also passed on some other local kiltie type info, just trying to help!
As always I'll keep y'all posted!

Not yet ! + some other Houston events
I peeked in the windows this week, it looks pretty much ready to go, but I guess the outside still needs some finishing touches. I saw some fellows there poking around with measuring tapes and waving their arms around the other day, I assume they were talking about signs or something. They have not updated their websites, they still claim a 'early September' opening
Don't worry, I will stay on it for the Houston area rabble!
Meanwhile, here are a few upcoming area events y'all might consider;
10/20 - Clear Lake Celtic festival http://www.celticmusicassociation.com/index.html
11/02 - Seven Nations at Mucky Duck. http://www.mcgonigels.com/

The address appears to be about 15 minutes from my home...Hmmmm, may have to drop in for a drink the day I return from Baghdad, Iraq (Jan 07, 2008)...Anyone interested in meeting me there? 1st round is on me!

WHAT!!! Nobody wants to toss a couple of pints??? Are there no beer drinkers/kilt wearers in Houston??? I joined the Tilted Kilt club, but never heard back from them after my registration...Hmmmm? Curious? Guess I'll be drinking alone.
