    In conclusion

It has been very enjoyable to see all the camaraderie and good will that has filled this thread. There are a lot of very good people here. You all contribute to make this online forum the rich place it is. I tip my plumed hat to you all.

Being that X Marks the Scot.com is owned by Hank, I thought it was only fair to ask him if it was acceptable for us to vote on an X Marks the Scot clan plant badge and motto. He has agreed, though he notes that he does not wish for their to be any representation of our group outside of this website unless he authorizes it. Gather, tell others about this great community (business cards are handy to pass out) but no official "Clan X Marks" tents please.

I will be posting polls for our clan plant badge and motto. Perhaps this is just me but I imagine that a "war cry" is best left to the various individual groups (Septs?) of X Markers who gather in good fellowship wroldwide.

    Cheers

    Jamie

I wrote this to post #55
Shall all those whom have not yet heard of XMARKSTHESCOT.com arrive at a fresh point in conversation with no predetermined requisite of knowdge or need of deeper research to get caught up
Motto, Badge, Tartan, Clan, in a purchaseable form add to the "I'm late, how can I fit in here?" syndrome. I don't have money for these trappings of equality. I love being here and you's friends of mine here are a hoot. There are thousands upon thousands of people out there whom have not yet heard of XMARKSTHESCOT.com. Can we agree that every new arrival can find camaraderie on his first day here with post number 1 all the way through to post number Xsquared times Xsquared, and never ever come to feel a need to own a Badge, Crest, Motto, Tartan, or pin or whatever else would become requisite to being a welcomed member, brother, sister on this, our caring forum?
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

The Xmarks tartan is the tartan in the background of the site.

Here is Panache our lovely mod in his Xmarks tartan Kilt. (I nicked this pic from his thread so please don't hate me for hotlinking.)

I'm getting in a little late- but I've starting feeling this way and I'm reletively new. Now I need to get myself a clan tartan kilt...

About once a year they do a run of the tartan. They will announce it on here (Hopefully soon) and everyone who is going to order will put their name in and how much they are ordering.
Then it will all get woven and paid for and the tartan will be sent either to you or the kiltmaker you have asked it to be sent to.

They did have some left on Fraser and Kirkbright's site for a while which had a damaged selvage, but I think that's all gone.

    So keep your eyes peeled!
