Callin all UK X-Markers
Hey everyone,
I am in the middle of planning a UK trip with my wife, we would like to meet as many X-markers as possible along the way. We are moving fast and trying to see as much as possible in a short amount of time, so expert local help would be a great help. Our itenary is looking like this.
Sep 10-11 London
Sep 12 Glasgow
Sep 13-14 Dumfries (Ferintosh)
Sep 15 Edinburgh
Sep 16-18 Dublin
Sep 19-20 Cork
Sep 21 Liverpool
Sep 22-23 London (again)
I can't wait and hope to see you soon.

Good heavens! That is quite the schedule. As someone who's been to the UK twice this year I really don't know how in the world you're going to see anything. You're going to be traveling the whole time and certainly won't be able to relax. (Not to mention the dreaded JET LAG.) Is it too late to reconsider you're itinerary?

Well, feel free to PM me if you'd like to find things to see in Glasgow that are a little off the beaten track.
And I hope you enjoy your trip.

That sounds like a very hectic itinerary. I hope to be able to meet up with you and Pour1Malt in Dumfries on Friday 14th.

Wow! That is one frantic schedule, and one that I would not like to be undertaking! As Dee says, you will be spending so much time travelling that you really will have so little time to actually see anything. I would have been very happy to have taken a day to meet you in London but, unfortunately, I already have committments on the days you will be there.
Next trip, I seriously suggest you concentrate on just Ireland, just England or just Scotland (or just Wales!!) for your two weeks.
In spite of my reservations regarding your itinerary, I sincerely hope you will have a wonderful visit.

Merciful Heavens, Trefor! You are NEVER at home!! Still, do it whilst you have your youth (!). There are many parts of Great Britain that I have never seen - Cornwall, Ireland, North Wales, Herefordshire and Lancashire among them. Why, I'd not been to Scotland until seven years ago.
Enjoy this trip - and don't forget the photos!
