When dealing with Tartan the Sett determines the pleat depth as I'm sure you know. Our Dress Model usually has a much deeper pleat than the Casual. But in the case of comparing my Casual and Dress Models, both in the same Tartan, the pleat depth will be the same so it would come down to the size of apron and fastening system.
On the Casual the apron is, on average, 2" narrower than on the Dress Model.
The Casual is fastened with buttons, the Dress with Straps & Buckles.

Yes we can do a Casual Model Kilt in the HBC Tartan. $285.00 + the cost of fabric @ $68.00/meter

    I wear the kilt because:

Hooray! My order has been posted for my very first tartan kilt.

Went with side slash pockets, rear welt pockets, and an under apron pocket (no cargo pockets, so it at least retains some traditional look to it )

I also went with a box pleat for it, as I really like the looks of the box pleats I've seen. Still a bit on the fence over that, but I'm about 95% certain that's the way I'm going to go with it.

Now, since it's my first tartan kilt (and it's wool!) are there any maintenance tips that I should be absolutely sure of before I get it?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike
