I'll admit I had to look that word up. I thought these pockets were for flasks, although I can't for the life of me, figure out why a Scotsman would need to carry a flask!

I actually usually pride myself on a larger than average vocabulary. But, I'll admit I had to look that up as well.

FK now offers an Under-Apron Pocket Option on all our kilts. It is sized to hold a blackberry or your passport when traveling. Fastened with a small piece of velcro, I think this is becoming my favorite pocket. No cell phone hanging off your belt, you can access it while sitting in the car with the seat belt on and you can always put the phone on vibrate and tell your wife to call you.

Steve!
I love it when I have my cell phone in my pocket and Panache calls (I always feel very guilty when it's someone else though! ).
Be well,

I'm going to like that pocket.
One question though, do you carry the phone in that pocket while walking around? Just how "easy access" is it? I don't really want to look like I'm sitting there groping myself. Well, at least not for a long period of time.

It takes about 2 seconds to get my cell phone out. Two rings max. If you angle the pocket towards the open apron edge it is so quick most people don't even notice you reaching under the apron.
And I would dare a pickpocket to get my passport out of that pocket. Even if he knew where it was.
If anyone questions you about reaching under there just show them your phone and say "See, it's my phone. and it's on vibrate. call me." That always gets a chuckle. Or a knowing smile.
If it is no big thing to you, most people take no notice. However I have had women ask for my number just to call by bluff. So I give them my card with the number and tell them that if they call me we will have to get married.
Light honest humor goes a long way when kilted.
You can also tell people that that is your "Anti wind gust modesty protection system."

Let me see if I have this right.
First - you put a pocket on the under apron.
Second - you put your cell phone, on vibrate, in the pocket.
Third - you get a T-shirt with your cell phone number in BIG letters and call me printed on it.
Fourth - you head to the mall or other people pack venue.
Fifth - you smile a lot.
Do I have this process correct?

I had actually considered this. But, one of my concerns was that the pocket is "open" at the top. But, the velcro idea seems so obvious, I'm surprised I didn't think of that! I guess I'll be adding velcro to it soon. Another, I'm not sure how comfortable having my blackberry there will be while walking. They have been known to hurt people you know.

One reason I like this hidden pocket would be to stash away some small items such as driver's license and maybe a credit card. Sporrans look to be incredibly easy to make off with. At least , they do to me...
