Coming out of the closet...

Yes, it's true -
I'm a trouser tart!!!
I'll wear pants for money...
I'm so ashamed...
...but I do feel somewhat better having come clean about this dark secret...

Happiness? I'd settle for being less annoyed!!!

I do wear trousers from time to time. Usually only when necessary, like when a job interview comes my way, or a job requires such an item. I also wear them when I'm doing major mechanical work on my car or need to be underneath said vehicle... The rest of the time, I'm either in a traditional kilt, or in my tattered survival Utilikilt that I wear when I'm doing dirty stuff that's not requiring that I be underneath a car or in possibly compromising position.
FYI, Expedia.com and Microsoft seem to be pretty kilt-friendly. Had an assignment through the local Volt contract agency. Involved working at Expedia.com in their corporate travel division. The first day, I wore clean jeans and a t-shirt. The second day, I did the same in the morning, but brought along the Armstrong, a kilt belt, and the sporran. Left'em in the car. Already had lovat green kilt hose with flashes on underneath the black jeans. Emailed my supervisor. Found out that there wasn't much of a dress code. So, at lunchtime, I did a quick switcheroo in the parking garage, ran over to the store to grab a sandwich and a soft drink. Came back, went back to the office area, and wore my kilt for the rest of the day. Instantly looked less casual even with the Asolo hiking boots that I wore that day, and was a lot more comfortable, especially with the somewhat warm and humid weather we have been dealing with in the Seattle area.

One other possibility for disposing of Saxon clothing in your neighborhood is through freecycle.org. Essentially, it's for anything in your house you no longer want, as long as it's legal and you're giving it away for free. It's a great way to keep things out of the landfills and to give things to folks who have a need for things...like pants...or Hawaiian shirts, if you must.
