That's what I was responding to turpin. I can just imagine a whole group of people standing around yelling "Kiss my pleats!"

I like "By Choice - Not Blood"...we are referring to the GROUP, not the wearing of the kilt.
Fellowship, to me, sounds like the Ladies Tea Society or something.
However, both kilt and fellwship DO sound good in Latin(!):
kilt
subligaculum -i n. [a loincloth , kilt].
subligar -aris n. [a loincloth , kilt].
fellowship
communitas -atis f.[community , fellowship; sense of fellowship, affability].
societas -atis f. [partnership , fellowship, association, alliance].

I like 'In Kilts, Fellowship.'
In Scots Gaelic I would translate it roughly as 'Ann feileadh comann.'

I like "In Kilted Fellowship" but "In Kilts, Fellowship" is ok too. I think it should be in english. Since english is the current semi universal language, much like latin used to be, as someone else mentioned.

I understand your sentiment, Stan.
For me when I use the word fellowship, I have in mind the kind of relationship that was shown in the band of adventurers in the movie Fellowship of the Ring.

Part of thinks "Kilted" would be a good one in and of itself.
Anyone know the Latin for "kilt" (noun) or what the verb would be?
-Once we know the root, we can figure out the various forms that root would take in different parts of speech. (Parts of speech is VERY relevant for the Latin, as it is FAR more specific in word form than English.)
I like your approach, MacWage in listing the variations. I would vote for Fellowship in Kilts!

I agree completely. The concept of fellowship isn't wearing a kilt, so it's not kilted. "In Kilts Fellowship" has a nicely archaic ring to it. Adding a comma for modern punctuation sensibilities makes it, "In Kilts, Fellowship."

But if they all painted their faces blue and waved their arms about it would be really scary.
Convener, Georgia Chapter, House of Gordon (Boss H.O.G.)
Where 4 Scotsmen gather there'll usually be a fifth.

Motto - "In Kilts, Fellowship".
Battle cry ... hmmm, we would need something that sounds good when yelled ... or chanted ... in English (majority language) and hopefully Gaelic as well ...
What's Gaelic for "Kiss my kilted [body part one is situated upon while posting on XMarks]"?

How about something computer related?
By electricity, not blood!
or something in computerese.
I also agree it should be in some form of English.
In kilts Fellowship sounds like a party in your kilt.
