That would be the one. Mom now rests in the memorial garden at St. Stephen's in Catlett. I would have been one of the clerks when you were five or six.
I will have to get down that way soon to visit Mom's resting place and check Brad's Store out. Though it looks like friggin huge is not in his stock range of sizes, may find the odd accessory.
Really think that area is an interesting choice for a kilt store. Would have more likely expected Arlington/Arlandria/Alexandria (though they do/did(?) have the Scottish Shop in Old Town) . Thinking on it, Manassas does make sense for a contemporary/modern kilt shop.
Wish you all the best Brad, and hope you have some fat sizes by the time I get thar

Brad, you are so brave!
Hopefully you will prosper from common sense and the current kilt fashion boom.

Went to Brad's store today. Very very nice guy. I may have to try one of those more modern variants having seen them displayed so well in there. I was there for 25 minutes or so, and at least three other groups came in while I was there. Quite a bustling business, and a great addition to our local Olde Towne business community. Thanks for your time today Brad, and I'll see you at Sky Meadows if not before.
Oh, and there was a big picture of Ron on the wall, too! Made me feel right at home.

My lovely bride and I stopped by the store this afternoon. Brad talked my wife out of buying her own Utilikilt. But "made" me buy one to share with her. A very friendly place. Spouse approved.
Ice cream up the road at Kline's Ice Cream was good.

I just checked out the site and I got a bit confused at one part. At this link https://www.kiltednation.com/store/s...on=show_detail
It shows the sport kilt, and calls it the Loch Ness Tartan in the middle, and then the Irish Revenge on the right side of the page. But I went to sport kilt's home site and it doesn't look like it's either. Here are the pics from the 3 tartans. Does anyone know what tartan they are showing, because I like the one they've got, i just don't know what tartan it is?
Here is the picture they are showing

Here is the loch ness from Sport Kilt

And here is the Irish Revenge that they also call it.

Ok I think I found out what tartan it is. I think it's the California Tartan.
This is the California Tartan from SportKilt, It looks like the original picture i posted, just not as good quality.

The thread count and coloration looks different and much nicer in the picture they are advertising. Any thoughts where they are getting that one from?

Good on ya! I went to High School with some of the Klein girls. Very nice people.
So there you have it kiltaholics, nice guy with kilt Store right up the road from a durable and well loved drive in. What are ye waiting fer? As we used to say in them parts -" Let's jest you git up in them woods"
Seriously that does sound like a wonderful day.
If he was on his way back to Monkey County, he likely visited the Kline's in Manassas Park at 28 and Maplewood Dr. Either way, they're both great!
