			Kidder sporran w/ new hangers

I just received my new sporran: the black "Rob Roy" style from Buzz Kidder. As many of you know, these are excellent sporrans - well constructed, roomy, and great looking! The Kidders sent along a new product with this sporran: a set of matching hanger loops made from the same leather as the sporran itself (as opposed to the typical smooth belt-weight leather).
These hangers are very nice - constructed from two layers of the same pebble-grained black leather as the sporran, stoutly stitched togther and featuring sturdy snap-links and rings. The hangers are soft and flexible using the sporran leather instead of stiff belt leather.

 Highly recommended....!

My father-in-law has that sporran and I was given thier "Loch Ness" model for my birthday. It has rapidly become my second favorite sporran after my Freelander. I'm not a big fan of sporran hangers but having them match the sporran does look sharp.
 Cheers

I like the sporran for casual use. I'm not sure I'd use them in a more dressy situation.

Thanks! I made the belt using an 18th century style "double-D" buckle in pewter, with iron tongues. I bought the buckle years ago off a guy at a reenactment, and have never seen a pewter one for sale anywhere again. Brass ones are readily available....

That looks really good and you won't get the chafing from a chain belt.

The hangers look great with the Rob Roy sporran. I have a day sporran that I wear with the hangers, they are very comfortable for us men of substance and do hold the sporran in the right place. The leather in the hanger I have is rather stiff, I suppose the leather will soften up with use.
