It's on my list of tartans to own. I'm hoping someone will start weaving it, so Red_Raven_Studios and I don't have to.

He only says that cause he doesn't want to wait for me to have the time to weave it..But I'm looking at yarn..3 feet left on the Gilmer/Morrison..then on to something new..hopefully with a new loom so I can work faster.(:>~

The frustrating part is that SOMEWHERE with in the Caledonian Society down in Mesa is a guy who has the cloth ready to go. Finding this guy has been an elusive project. Took a run at it last year without success...if I remember correctly someone said he was ill...just seems like folks would wanna sell their product and not hide it. Go figure.

Don't forget that our own Matt Newsome was the one who had Red's AZ tartan custom woven -- he also had the Iowa tartan woven for my kilt.
Besides, it's good to support Matt, especially since he is our resident tartan expert!
I've seen the AZ tartan in person, btw (Red sent me a swatch on loan) -- it is quite striking in person -- the pictures and computer graphics do not do it justice!
Regards,
Todd

Celtic Craft Center had a swatch at this year's Phoenix games, and I looked at it. I still think it's ugly, but that won't stop me from getting a kilt in it, at some point.

LOL! I'm the same way with a few tartans. I do actually like the Arizona Tartan and do intend on purchasing it someday, but I do admit that there are a few tartans out there that are ugly, but I still want them. Now don't get me wrong, their not "bad ugly" they're "good ugly".
A perfect example "in my opinion" is the Buchanan Tartan. I think it's loud, and obnoxious, but I LOVE IT. It's fully of color and it's great.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, I suppose.
