Put an article from a little paper like the Carroll County Times on this site and it gets around the world. Is the internet great or what?. I am glad to hear the comments made about the article. And how about those legs in piper's hose? There may be a few autographed copies soon.

This article claimed that "until recently" kilts costs "$700 to $800." here, but I've noticed this over-pricing trend in a number of articles about the kilt in the mainstream press. Has anyone else noticed the same?
    Matt

This is probably my fault. I mentioned that when I started looking at kilts the only places I found were selling traditional wool kilts $600-$700 dollars. This was a number of years ago and were from Scotland.

We mentioned that the prices had gone down, but were still expensive compared to some of the alternatives now available. We said that the lower price seemed to get more people to move from interested in wearing a kilt to wearing a kilt.

We did mention that there were a number of very good kilt makes in the US. Since it is close by we mentioned that guy/gal in Phoenixville and someone mentioned the guy that run a museum in the southern hills and quite a few others.

Many of the quote were attributed to the wrong person and slightly mixed up but as it has been said for a reporter with about a years experience it seemed to be very balanced.

My suggestion is to add a comment to the article, the link is at the bottom of the article page.

Good job! Any positive kilt influence is the public eye is appreciated. You may have encouraged others to come forward. Calling the media was a great idea.
