Cowal Highland Gathering
Hello to all our xmarksthescot friends.
We filmed last weekend at the Cowal Highland Gathering and have now uploaded all the films we made to www.scotlandontv.tv
To make finding the videos easier, we've made a special Cowal Highland Gathering page for the site so that all the links to the videos can be found in the one place. Log onto: http://www.scotlandontv.tv/cowal_gather.html/ to see the details.
Enjoy!

New-look Scotland on TV
Hi all
We have just launched our new-look Scotland on TV site, with a new design and a Flash video player. We're still in the same place: www.scotlandontv.tv so please do take a look & let us know what you think.
You'll notice that there's now a section of the site dedicated to kilts & tartans, which needs to be added to. So, if you have have any great kilt-related ideas about films we could make, then do tell us & we'll see what we can do.
We're also introducing an area where you can upload your own videos for consideration for inclusion on Scotland on TV. So please get your camcorders out and start filming anything Scottish (in Scotland or elsewhere). It will be up & running very soon - we'll let you know when.
We hope you enjoy the new-look site,
The Scotland on TV Team

Maybe a nice story about an online community that has been running for 4 years, has almost 300,000 posts, has 2,626 members from all points of the world, has it's own registered tartan, and was set up to promote the kilt, but has expanded into so much more.
I also know this gent in Sussex that has over 80 kilts and is quite the charming gentleman. I am sure he may have some insight. Maybe a monthly adventure series?
We have the numerous cottage industries that have come about due to this site including, but not limited to: sporran handmade in Norway, Belts from a US maker, fly pins for kilts, etc, etc.
We have a member who runs a b&b in Dumfries and promotes kilt wearing and has hosted kiltwearers from all over the globe. He is a day to day kiltwearer, and despite that Scotland is not his native country he does a heck of a lot to try and promote the tourist industry in Scotland.
Keep up the great work. I really enjoy the site and I look forward to the newsletter on Fridays.
