Broadsword Doublet?

It looks more like a doublet to me. I saw it on ebay and was interested, but I guess not really. I hope you like it.

But the Seriffmuir doesn't button up like that, apart from the lapels.

This jacket arrived today. It is indeed similar to Phil's but for the cuffs, lapels---as can be seen in the photos--- and that it is made of barathea rather than velvet. Also, like Phil's there are no belt loops on the sides, so I assume the belt is to be worn under it.

The lapels are so high that I think I can wear a jabot with it.

"Broadsword" is the name of the manufacturer on the label, not the style.

It fits well, no need for alteration, and the most interesting and wonderful thing about it are the flaps (sabretashes?). I have never had a doublet or jacket with them before. Some one said they are good for those of us over weight, and that is so true. The front ones help disguise a protruding bay window stomach, and the ones in the back can make the flattest and most sagging of middle-aged buttocks appear rounder, if not muscular and perky.
