Where is "here"? Nicolson's highlandwear on the Royal Mile sells the shoes, don't know about the buckles. I kept losing one when dancing, think I will have to glue on the press studs. This crowd made the Kiltie shoes but someone thought they were defunct - Nicoll-Brothers http://www.nicoll-brothers.co/Sporrans, Regalia & Brogues, Main Street , Bankfoot , Perthshire PH1 4AB

    Maybe try phoning them.

If the shoes are "Kilties" then they will have buckles attached to the shoe by 2 press studs attached to the small butterfly-shaped leather strap threaded through the buckle. All "Kiltie" buckle brogues will have the same-sized buckle attachment so if you can't find the manufacturer try and get any old pair of the shoes and just pull the buckles off and replace yours. Don't get any of the buckles linked here as they will be no use to you. If you still have the pair off e-bay the buckles should fit OK even if the shoes are too wee. Take some glue to the press studs though. There is no reason why they ever need to come off and they seem to pop off fairly easily.

They are the yins am talking aboot, "Kilties" with two pressed studs on a fan shaped backing piece of leather. It seems the other buckles i got fae e-bay were not "Kilties" dinnae ask!! So am still stuck wi one shoe withoot the buckle. Cheers Phil

Where did you buy the shoes?

I got some last year from a Scots company, but they were so poorly made that I returned them.

I take it you can't get any reply from Nicoll Brothers. I'm sure I saw an old pair kicking about in Armstrongs in the Grassmarket here in Edinburgh. Is that any use to you?
