Thanks a bunch. That was a great review. I think Freedom Kilt, Casual, Black poly/cotton, 2 slash pocket, and two back pockets, no cargo is how I am going to order. Now I just have to find my measuring tape and get to it.

I like my cargo pockets. Actually got seven pockets on mine including under apron. Smashing bit o' gear. I work in a warehouse with two slackers who never have a knife, or a marker, or a pen.
Like my PDA, carry two cell phones, have to photograph shipping damage, occasionally use my IPOD for entertainment or a an external drive, have two flash drives, Wallet, smokes, lighters, two sets of keys, and like to be able to carry a bottle or two of water.
Bottom line, you can carry an amazing amount of gear, and it wears well. The cargo pockets on my FK hang better than others I have used.

Once you have a kilt with slash pockets, you'll wish they all had them. They are so handy. The Wizard is making me up a traditional kilt that I'll never wear without a sporran, yet I still ordered the slash pockets.

Two slash pockets will carry a substatial amount of goods too, that along with the "wallet" pocket and you're good to go.

Have you looked into Utilikilts? They have side pockets as well as either one or two back pockets depending on the model. Their workman is like a tool belt on steroids. They are made of heavy cotton. Check em out at www.utilikilts.com. No I'm not on their payroll. You might check out www.stillwaterkilts.com too. They make casual to 6 to 8 yard kilts in several tartans and other fabrics all for at reasonable prices. I do sound like a salesman, don't I?

Before you measure, have a gander at this helpful video from Steve http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=26096
Good luck with the kilt. I don't own a FK (yet) but I have seen a good number of them in person. Steve and his crew make a great product.

Change of plans... my financial situation has changed...(truck needed work) and the FK is not in my immediate future. I plan on saving up and getting one, but just won't be as soon as I'd wish. Thanks for all the input folks....
