Hi, you might want to check your monitor settings- the "corrected" picture you posted definitely is too garish compared to the actual fabric, at least on my calibrated monitor.
I've checked the picture on a half dozen different monitors. We even held the tartan up to the screen. That is the color the tartan appears to the naked eye. The red stripe is that color. Perhaps it's your calibration?

Oh, and Red_Raven_Studios has a complaint for Stillwater Kilts. She wants to know when Jerry's going to start carrying kilted skirts, so she can buy a skirt to match my kilts. She especially likes this tartan.

I just received my new Weathered McKensie today, and like the other SWK standard in BlackWatch, it fits fine and looks great. Jerry threw in a set of matching flashes, and the black leather sporran belt I ordered is just as expected: a good value. I ordered the kilt on Wednesday, got confirmation on Thursday, and it arrived here this morning, Saturday. Those guys are awesome.

I understand that the recent "digital camo" is supposed to be a big advance in this outline-breaking-up process especially in urban areas.

the ACU camo works great when seen through NVGs.

As an aside, I'm wearing the new kilt to brfeakfast this morning. We'll see how the public receives it.
