We were going to walk a through route and catch the bus at a different stop. This was the view as we started decending the ridge

We soon reached a small lake .. the path we needed to take is just above it and continues all the way down to the farmland in the distance.

    A quick pose

The countryside started to change quite rapidly

Then eventually we found a track

This welsh hillfarm was still a working farm.

Just after the farm we had to follow a stream for about 2 miles

Then it was across some farmland

    We passed another lovely farmhouse

It had an old barn coverted into a bunk house for walkers as well.

Then it was onto another track which took us passed this little place .. we all could have settled here

Eventually we came to more of a lane

Then we passed this old watermill. We found out later its availeble for weekly let as a holiday home.

So 7 hours and 50 mins after we started the walk, we had some beers that never touched the side of the glass .. well maybe very briefly.

I tried an arty pic .. has'nt come out that good .. my pint, the pub window and the mountain range in the background that we crossed.

The girls were gratefull of a sit down

We had a few beers more then caught the last bus back home.

So, thats it until next weekend when Rob (lincs) is coming to stay and we shall be going on more walks and visiting several watering holes in the hills.
