I wear a kilt to church about one Sunday out of 4. It's a common enough thing that nobody much notices anymore. I did get some good natured ribbing the first couple of times, but that's about it.
I did wear one to a wedding reception once and got a lot of looks. I was worried about upstaging the bride but she liked it. In fact, just a couple a weeks ago I was at another wedding reception where she was in the line to greet the new bride and groom and she asked me where my kilt was. She was dissapointed that I didn't wear one to this wedding too.
I think wearing a kilt to church is a good thing. The more you wear it, the more of a non-issue it becomes, and I've had a lot of people tell me that they like to see me in one.
It don't mean a thing, if you aint got that swing!!
