Great pics again Alex. As a Hume myself it makes me very nostalgic. By the way, there's a story attatched to that well. King James 1V of Scotland always wore a heavy metal chain around his waist as penance, and he was killed at the nearby battle of Flodden in 1513. Legend has it that (for some reason) his body was found and taken to Hume Castle where is was dropped down the well. Many centuries later during excavations of the well, a skeleton was found - and it had a rusty old chain around it's waist !

Reason: I got the Battle of Flodden mixed up with the Battle of Bannockburn (wishfull thinking !)
