Flash storage

I thought you were talking about travel. For travel, a small cd case would hold however many you are taking along (I mean how many sets of flashes do you travel with, anyway). At home put each set of flashes into its own labeled zip-loc bag and store them in a Rubbermaid tub with a lid. Something like this...

I take mine, fold the 2 strips at the join (so each makes a facing). Then, I wind the elastic around the tops of the flashes.
Usually I just lay them in a VERY shallow drawer in my bed side table (the hose are in the normal depth drawer beneath it).
When I travel, I usually either layer them between shirts, in a shoe, or in spare sporran (if I bring a second besides the one I am wearing). At times, I have put them in a FLAT pocket of a travel back (the kind of the SIDE of a duffel back that is has the depth of paper). As long as I am SURE I am storing the FLAT. I am OK.

I pretty much just stuff them into a sock drawer and then complain about the tangled, wrinkled mess every time I pull them out while telling myself that the next time I put them away I will organize them better so they don't tangle or wrinkle.

The CD case idea sounds promising... Next time I wear flashes, I'll try it.

I lay mine flat in the drawer where I keep the hose rolled up and stored. But I don't have that many pairs to worry about

I lay them flat between two pieces of cardboard, which I then slide into an envelope. The envelope gets put in a shoe box that I store my hose, belt, pin, and sgian dubh in.

Try a plastic storage box for your kilt hose, just lay the flashes very neatly on top of the kilt hose and put the top on the box, it works very well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I am going to start putting the two pairs together, then wrapping the elastic around the top, and maybe an extra rubber band, and then into another box/drawer/soemthing..... It should keep them, at least easier to sort thru, when looking for just the right set!

I also am still considering a peg-board arrangement for my closet wall with some sort of hookies.

I know there is a solution!

Boy do I need to step away from the computer... I saw the title and was trying to figure out how flash storage (SD, CF, Memory Stik) was a kilt accessory... I had even come up with mental images of a sgian with a usb drive as the blade...

Anyway, to keep on topic... I only have a few pair of flashes, but I store them folded together with the elastic wrapped around them and laid flat in a drawer and have never had problems with them being tangled and/or creased. But I don't have 2 shoeboxes full of them...

What I do is lay one hose on top of the other (one pair), fold them in half, wrap the elastic of the flash around the hose and connect it. This keeps the flashes and its elastic from wrinkling.
