Lovat green is a lighter, kind of "weathered" green. Bottle green is a darker, "richer" green. So you can use that info to make a decision dependent of the type of green in the tartan. Computer generated images almost never mirror colors accurately.

So, Lovat is just a shade of a certain color? Like Lovat Blue for example.

James, if you mean the Lewis hose: they are simply luxurious. I have 3 pairs, and my feet love them.
These are a little thicker than the average kilt hose (avoid tight shoes); but they look and feel great.

BUT
David beat me to what is fast becoming a favorite of mine -- black hose, black shirt and red flashes (or matching tartan) would be what I'd wear with that one.
