Kilt Night in Indy needed.
Is anyone else here from Indiana? I'd like to do a kilt night, but I think I'm alone in the Hoosier State.

Oh no you're not.
I was just at the Claddagh on the Northside, a couple of weeks back, as a matter of fact.

If you look on the Indiana map there's a speck in the very Northeast corner named Fremont. Famous for being where the Toll Road and I-69 cross. It's also where people have been known to say "Hey, there's that Seamus guy that wears a skirt...only he calls it something else.

Isn't that James Dean's hometown?
(Or am I thinking of another Indiana "speck" on the map?)

Aye, you're thinking of another speck - Fairmount is where Dean was from. That's about 65 miles due east of where I stay.
Mathuna, how long a drive is it for you into the north side of Indy? A couple of hours? Is it worth it for a possible kilt night?
R.L., where did you go? Try flagging up Heath, I believe he stays in Indy.

OK, Fremont, Fairmount, sorry, they sound and look enough alike that I confused myself
I wish I lived closer, I'd come up and say "Hi!" (but, as of now, it is just a wee bit to far).

I'm about 2 1/2 hours away, depending on traffic and police. I also work six or more days a week so getting to Indy can be a challenge. The last few times I was there, I was just passing through on the way to Evansville with my girlfriend and her 11 year old daughter, so stopping to play was a big no-no. I do occasionally get there on my own for classes or trade shows and will be happy to let you know ahead of time when I'm going to be in town.
I also have been known to relax at both the downtown and North side Claddagh pubs.

Boone County here.
A Kilt Night would be cool. I've heard more than a few people wear kilts around Indianapolis but I've never met them.
Irish Fest is coming up Sept 14-16th. This is one of the few times Kilt'd Lads and Lasses come out. Maybe we should make a few flyers and attempt to create monthly night out.

The Feast of the Hunters' Moon in West Lafayette would be another opportunity for a possible get-together.
I've posted most of the details in this blog post. This would be the weekend of 13-14 October.
Highland Reign, Hogeye Navvy and Father, Son & Friends will be performing at the Feast, with Highland Reign appearing at Nine Irish Brothers on the Saturday evening.
Anyone up for a possible meet?
