    magnets

    Some people glue magnets to the back of their kilt pins and use another on the other side of the cloth to keep from tearing holes in their kilts. I haven't tried it yet, but intend to. There are a couple of threads on it that you could probably find easily.

    That's an excellent idea, I"ve never thought of doing that. It seems that would save wear and tear on the kilt.
