It's not too late!

PaulX608 joined me for Kilt Night at First Fridays in the historic downtown of Fredericksburg. The crowds increased as the hot temperature of the day waned. It was great having people ask us about our kilts. People readily shared their family connections to Scotland or Ireland. I would tell them about the Fredericksburg Scottish Society and Paul would talk about X Marks. Both Paul and I were able to find our favorite brews at the Beer tents. Some nice tasty catfish and chips from the vendor below eliminated our hunger pains. It was a great time and it was good finally meeting Paul. Next time, Paul we need to top dinner off with a visit to Carl's!

I was downtown from about about 6 until 11 pm, did not run across you. Being traditional I don't have a cell phone or would have called you. By the way the Blarney Stone had a piper and Celtic Band - I was there from about 9:00 until 11:00 - we need to hook up and try again.
Pic looks good.

Sorry we didn't connect. If we known where you were we would have headed that way.
Friday, 10/5 will be the last First Fridays for downtown Fredericksburg. Let's try to meet up for that. Let's see if Paul is game. There is another fellow with the Fredericksburg Scottish Society who was planning to come, but events prevented it. Heading down to the Blarney Stone sounds good too.
I think Paul is planning to wear his kilt this Friday to work and I am going to ask him to meet for lunch or after work for a beer. Are you able to make it?
Invite is open to any of the kilted of the Rappahannock [Fredericksburg area].

Can't do it this Friday, Ern. Friday is the evening that I go visit my granddaughter and my older kids. I can skip a Friday with them every once in a while, but I do like seeing them, too. That first Friday in October sounds good, though. I'm teaching my older daughter to drive on those Friday visits, too. Hell on the nerves! I'll need the drink by 5OCT!
Edit: I just noticed the lunch thing, the wife and I usually go out to lunch on Fridays. Usually something in Southpoint or close. Lemme know what time or place works for you.

Let's do lunch this Friday how about Panera Bread? I usually leave for lunch at 12:30 and could meet you guys then. If you want to do it earlier I can swing leaving earlier.
Okay, lets do First Friday 10/5!

This Friday for lunch I should be free - name a place and time.
Friday, 10/5 is out for me also. I will be going to Saratoga to re-enact the Battle of Saratoga - 42nd Royal Highlanders - maybe we can make it another night.
