I'll put this here as well..
Gotta lova a car that will do 0-60 in 6.4 seconds on road or off!!
Great car, but the insurance is high..get nailed for off-road and a sports car. otherwise it's a blast to drive!! and I can get almost everywhere the jeeps can go..with the exception of the back road to Wagoner Arizona..and maybe a few mud bogs I know of..But half the fun is trying!

Ahha! Very nice. That's one reason I bought my Subaru - the Rally's. I don't compete but love to watch and follow along (so to speak).

I almost bought an Imprezza Outback Sport, a very fun little car . The reason I didn't and went with a Honda CR-V (which I think is actually is a better choice for a family car) was I couldn't afford the WRX and knew everytime I saw one at the stop light I would be comparing my car unfavorbly to it.
Cheers

yeah the CR-V would have been the smarter choice, but you have to own a sports car at least once in your life..and where better then AZ where all real highways are dirt. this car rocks off road. it's the 2003 WRX only a 2.0L with a5 speed tranny and a true 50/50 differential split on the all wheel drive. It will climb damn near anything. a little to low on the road for the boulder hopping I like to do but gets me everywhere else. if ya ever get in our neck of the woods I'll take you out on my favorite back roads for a spin.

You'r not kidding about that. I went with the Legacy Outback Wagon because I needed a bit more space than the WRX 5 door but it was also several thousand dollars cheaper.
