And the Canadians rejoice!
For the first time since I turned 13 (1976), the Canadian dollar is on par with the US dollar. We can finally order stuff from the US and not be killed with the exchange rate!
Woohoo!!!!!
Now I just have to convince Karen that I "need" a few more kilts.

Hep, the dollar is getting HAMMERED in the last number of years.
Which means EVERYTHING is more expensive here.
(I'm just glad the X Marks tartan was shipped before the equality. Sorry, Steve.)

The Loony is less loony
A clear case for monetary union as most countries (but not ours) have in the EU.
The North American Dollar (NAD) would be the result. Of course, over here, NADs have a different meaning!
