Yes I voted Maple Leaf but honestly it wasn't biased. The colours truly compliment each other. It was not an easy decision and I thank all those that submited tartans for consideration for I discovered some truly wonderful tartans that I hadn't seen before.

On MY monitor, the Maple Leaf you posted looks hideous. I've seen other pics that looked a lot better (once more, on my monitor), and it is indeed a stunning tartan.

Can't beat Isle of Skye, tho, it just can't.

Well as KC says the Maple Leaf does not look true to the colours here is mine:

I agree that the pic I had was hideous so I've changed it. I stole it from McMurdo (I notice that he to posted it). All of us that got our Maple Leaf kilts tried to take a picture that truly shows the colours. McMurdo's was closest so far.

It is a very hard decision I'll say that much.

This is true, really they are all the most gorgeous tartans in their own way. There are so many that weren't listed. Even the Buccanan is a beautiful tartan in weathered colours. I'm surprized that Menzies were not mentioned, nor Buccleuch. At the very least perhaps this poll will help us decide our next kilt (and the one after that, and the one after that...). It is also wonderful to be reintroduced to the Arctic and Antarctic tartans.

The antarctic tartan has always been one of my favorites. Even more than the Isle of Skye I currently own. So guess which I one chose in the poll. There are a number of great contenders in this list, it will be interesting to see who rises to the top!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

As owner of four of the tartans it was a very difficult decision indeed but for overall variety of colour I plumped for the Caledonia.

I rather suspect that the popularity of the Antarctic tartan in this poll may have something to do with presentation. After all, the shot of it displays it draping a rather shapely bottom, while the others are just flat shots of the tartan. Always consider your model.
