Yeah, married men wear a ring as well. As McWage so expertly devised I am not the groom or I would have been dressed nicer. She is a good friend of mine, that was just the only picture of me with the phone visible. Now about the elastic. . .right again. I was not wearing traditional kilt hose because those, as well as my sporran are lost in the mail. My over the calf dress socks came somewhat unfolded revealing my unsightly elastic, didnt notice till I was the pic. Oh well. Any comments about knee high dress socks instead of kilt hose, it was very comfortable and let my legs breathe.

I have known couples where one wears a wedding ring and the other does not and it has been either way. I have also known couples where neither one wears a ring. BUT mostly both the husband and wife will wear a wedding ring.

Yes, many men in the US wear a wedding band on their (typically) left ring finger.

You know, I'm glad you mentioned that was your cell phone in your hose. I saw that in the other thread where you posted the picture and was trying to figure it out. It looked odd. I finally decided that it was just an optical illusion.

But now knowing it was your cell phone that was probably a good idea. Although it might have felt better to have your cell phone at your waist and your keys in your hose. Though I've never tried either. Hope that sporran arrives soon.

The other traditional place to store things is the pocket you make between the apron and the kilt when you put the belt on. I keep tickets, money, etc. tucked in there.

Cool pic. Proper matching socks is probably the most challenging part of kilt wearing, other than the questions (matching the kilt, I figure you can do the matching pair thing).

Point of clarification: The "Mighty Mo" is the USS Missouri, on which the Japanese surrendered in September, 1945.
