A White Kilt Kit
Greetings,
I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could get a white kilt and jacket to match. It might be awhile before I aquire it, but if anyone has any resources I'm not familiar with, I'd be quite appreciative.

I saw photos of a man being married in that, but can't now remember where I saw it. I think maybe he was selling it on Ebay a few months ago.

I would think long and hard about a white kilt, I have a tartan which is predominantly white and it just isn't isn't up to long term use.
At the end of the day its your choice and you may be getting it for a one off occassion but I feel you money could be better spent

I cannot imagine wearing a white kilt. I am building one from natural colored canvas that is sort of white, but it will quickly become something else, I am sure.

I would agree on the white kilt, but if you want a white jacket you can either have one made of find a shop that sells uniforms to cruise ship employees. A captains mess jacket would work fine.

This shop sells jackets that ought to work with a kilt, especially the ones at the bottom of the page:

If you shop around, you can also find Prince Charlies in white or cream. One of these days, way down on the priority list, I may get one of these just to have a "white dinner jacket" option.

Those work but I was actually talking about this style,
Minus the boards and with silver buttons it works great with no alterations. It already has the cutaway that works well with the kilt. The price from Marlow White isn't to bad but you can do better if you source it from a uniform store that supplies cruise ship officers.
If you can't find them online you can try a Miami directory.

Has anyone seen any pictures of the white Prince Charlies? It would be interesting to see how they look.

This looks really close to the military white mess jackets. Those look great with a kilt too, as long as you civilianize them (change buttons, remove rank insignia, etc.). Actually, they look grea with all that stuff too, but that's not really authorized.
