My only bit of advice is that you get the two (jacket and kilt) made together. Otherwise, even the slightest difference in the material colour will stand out.

A SOLID white kilt?
Uh.......
What about a dress tartan, instead. They often have a lot of white in them...

Don't know about Ebay, but I do remember seeing pictures of a male model in a white kilted outfit, perhaps on beach. This ring a bell with anyone?
Best regards,

Minus the boards and with silver buttons it works great with no alterations. It already has the cutaway that works well with the kilt. The price from Marlow White isn't to bad but you can do better if you source it from a uniform store that supplies cruise ship officers.
If you can't find them online you can try a Miami directory.

Yes - 21st Century Kilts shows a white kilt in their gallery, presumably meant to depict a beach wedding. Look under "Storm Shoot." TFCK could certainly make the whole white kilt ensemble for you, if you want.
I think Hamish has one of these white kilts, actually.

Rex.

Yes, TFCK will be more than pleased to tailor a white kilt suit for you. Howie himself was married in just such a suit (well, it was cream linen) in June.
And, yes, I do have a white TFCK kilt (circa 2002), but not a matching jacket. WOW! I should love to have a white tweed Argyll!!!
Here is the TFCK model:
.......and here is the Utilikilt. The location? The South Street Seaport in NYC:

I know that none other than the famous Hamish has a white kilt, but please re-consider!
A white kilt would show the smallest of dirt and grime, just ask any naval officer or enlisted man. The white uniform is generally dispised for just that reason. It only looks good for about the first fifteen minutes of wear.
A white jacket, married with a classick tartan would look so much better.
Please think long and hard before you invest any money in a white kilt!

I was actually going to raise that very point. As a former sailor in the United States Navy, I spent considerable amounts of summer time dressed in all-white uniforms. And even the polyester "easy care" ones were a stone . The slightest coffee spill, brush against something, standing downwind of a pencil sharpener, even, and you were wearing it for the rest of the day.
I'd be very hesitant about getting an all-white kilt.
