I would have to agree with MacDougall a little on the presentation of the choices, but not for the same reason.
The Antartic Tartan was the only tartan show in "Kilt Form" and the rest were just swatches. I think to have an accurate vote you would need to post front and back pictures of actual kilts that have been made in each fabric. Some of those tartans i have never seen in the style of a kilt. I did vote for the Antartic though because i had never seen it before and it was gorgeous.

It was the same for me Raptor, The grey exposed hue when pleated the way it is subdues it but when the pleats swing open as it does there it is amazing the contrast. Even flat it is a beautiful tartan. I didn't read anything more into this than just what the poll asked, I did not take into account symbolism or anything else.

I agree a none of the above should have been a choice too, because my favorite isn't listed.

OK here are the ones I could find so that everyone could see the tartans in kilt form:
The Sackett
The Isle of Skye
The Maple Leaf
The Holyrood
I could not find the MacPherson Red in kilt form, nor could I find the Caledonia, if anyone has those please post them.
Thanks

I voted for IOS up there. That being said, having seen the New Hampshire state tartan done in a kilt, that one is just as gorgeous IMO.

Sorry but I'm having a tough time getting past the use of the word "gorgeous" in connection with a male garment, and no offense McMurdo, but you're not helping!
(I'm sure you're relieved to know that, aren't you?)

Would you prefer "prettiest"? Because that's next week's poll.

Anybody?, ugly tartan?
Maybe it's just me, but I think the Taylors are pretty scary:
My mother remarried and married a Taylor! Thankfully her maiden name was Robertson, so I still get to choose something that won't make your eyes bleed!

I found this one of Hamish in his Caledonia
However I still could not find an example of the MacPherson Red. The funny thing is the MacPherson Red will be my next 8yrd kilt from Canadian Casual Kilts, as my Uncle is part of the MacPherson clan and I am getting it to honour him, as soon as it is done rest assured pictures will be forthcoming.
