Graham, I've been a Mac user since the "LC" in the 80s. You won't go back!

Graham you're going to be one happy camper once you get the different feel down. I've been using PC's at work since before windows was invented. MACs at home for about 5 years now. By far and away Apple is the better operating system.

    Oh and what David said.

My first computer was a mac way back when, and every place I worked until now used macs exclusively, it was hard to get used to the Dell's at work, but I think I have it now. My old mac finally died, and now I have an AMD but I really do miss the old mac.

I've used a Mac all my life and I've never wanted any other computer.

...see...now you know why the Serpent tempted Adam and Eve with the Apple...

...but that's just a story started by Bill Gates.

As someone (probably me, but I don't remember) once said:

    Mac. It works.

Mac-PC-who cares? It's the software that makes the computer. Go with open source software! Most is free or really cheap, AND it works!!!

And no problems with planned obsolecence! The software is constantly improving and evolving!

I finally got an iMac when my brother in law (who is a computer engineer) kept praising them. He's right. They NEVER crash. Enjoy!

I'm a Mac switcher, too. I've converted my mother, sister and nephews to them, as well.

To expand on my previous message, I've been a Mac user/abuser since 1993, when I bought a used Mac Plus for $550. Since then, I've owned probably 40 Mac computers. I've also owned a few Apple II series machines and still own an '83-vintage Apple IIe that is fully functional.
